The first new distillery to be built in Inverness for 130 years, Uile-bheist is an independent modern distillery using some of the most advanced stills in Scotland, engineered by world-renowned coppersmiths Kaspar Schulz. Our whisky production methods are innovative and original, while maintaining principles of Single Malt Scotch Whisky production which have remained unchanged for hundreds of years in the Highlands of Scotland.
Rising from the banks of the River Ness, our state-of-the-art brewstillery is right on the doorstep of our hotel and restaurant. Uile-bheist (Scottish Gaelic for ‘monster’, pronounced EWL-uh-vehst) is the realisation of its founders’ long-held ambition to create the finest artisan whisky and beer in the heart of Inverness, Scotland.
